Here is the entertainment center or part of it that my hubby just finished building for our TV. The cabinet is 61 inches tall and 38 inches wide and 24 inches deep. He just finished staining it last night and will apply the polyurethane on it today. It will house the TV in the center, and on the top shelf the DVD player and the VCR. There are two doors that go at the bottom to hide the shelf and at the very bottom a pull out drawer. It is made out of solid oak wood and is heavy. I will need to place those furniture sliders under it once we move it inside just so I can move it around! LOL There will be two additional cabinets on each side of this unit that will have glass doors and lighting for me to place all the knick-knacks. Total cost for him to build this unit was only $190.00 and I could never buy it in the store for less than a $1,000.00! It is something that will definitely be handed down to the grandchildren because you just can not find handmade furniture anymore... or furniture that is built to last forever for that matter!
