Journaling:
Growing up I was never one for dolls or babies. I remember walking with friends and a mother would walk by with a baby in the stroller and my friends would always stop and coo at the baby and talk about how cute he or she was. I always said give me puppies not babies. My mom on the other hand LOVES babies. When we used to go shopping together she used to make me stop in the baby section with her so she could look at the cute baby cloths. Needless to say it was pure torture for me. I told my mom when I had kids she could raise them until they were teenagers and I would take over when they were bigger.

Tim and I were happy in our marriage. We were both successful business people. We enjoyed traveling. We would go scuba diving, skiing, hiking – to so many different countries. As a result, we selfishly were not sure if we wanted kids. So we decided if it happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t.

One day we decided to give having a kid a try. In our first attempt we became pregnant. It was by far the best thing that ever happened to me. I could not imagine having life without Justin. It’s the kind of love I think only another parent could understand. Someone that you created, that is a part of you. I am so thankful for being a mom. It is the most wonderful experience in the world.
