This is beautiful...It gave me goosebumps i think your son is one lucky boy to have a great mom like you!! I bet when he grows up he is going to really appreciate all your hard work!! Congrats!
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!! I loooooooooove this! My son is totally fireman obsessed at the moment, he would love this :) I like how you used the photo of the helmets as well as the one of your son. The wee hydrant is too cute. Wonderful and I haven't looked at the 2nd page yet.
Great lo! I like all the extras you've put into this. The voice activator is truly a way to record history along with the fotos and the story! What a great idea to take him to the fire station first hand and to give back to the hard working people who give their time and lives to keep us safe!! Good Work!
this is a super awesome lo, and you're a super awesome mom to do things like that. you are teaching your son some values that will last throughout his life. wonderful job. love it!
Watching my son get so excited when the fire truck drove by. We live next to a fire station, so we see fire trucks and hear their trucks every day. Gabe runs to the window each time they drive past our house. He even has his own set of firetrucks. He carries them around...everywhere! The LT page shows him daydreaming about the trucks as they drive by. These pages almost tell a story...As he is dreaming of the trucks, holding his own truck, he then gets the chance to meet the firemen and sit in a real fire truck.
Each week we take a field trip together. This week we went to the fire station. We then planned an event to make them dinner and bring it to the crew. I try to find ways to teach Gabe about giving, helping others, and setting/keeping goals. Even though Gabe is only 16 months old in these pictures, I know he enjoys learning so much. The crew really appreciated someone making the effort. This crew works so hard for us. They work in a busy station...always on the go. We are so thankful for their help. They gave Gabe a JR. firefighter badge...which I placed on the LT page-center. VOICE RECORDING: The right page has a voice recorded device which can be pulled out. It fits under the TRUCK-license plate. You just pull it out (by the red ribbon) and press play. I bought this at a local craft store. We recorded the firetruck sirens, horns, other sounds of the truck, and Gabe squeeling with delight. We also tried to capture some of his first words associated with truck. There is also a tag that can be pulled out, behind the voice recording device. It tells the story of the field trip, and the giving that Gabe learned about when we brought the crew dinner. Although I really like this techn. I did not want it to be the main element of this layout.
