Journaling (corrected):
This was not an easy page to scrap. I thought not to mention this in your album because this might be misunderstood. This is why it is important that you know that there is nothing wrong with being a strong-willed child, au contraire... God created you this way and God does not make mistakes. Raising you is an opportunity to help you become what God has intended you to be.

I have to admit that I was not ready at first, but some friends guided me in the right direction by giving me a wonderful book by Dr. James Dobson entitled “The strong-willed child”. In this book I learned that it is my responsibility to build your spirit and not brake it. That if I feed your passion it will help you stay focus and occupied so that you would not be lead astray. That it is ok to use “firm love” to shape you.

As I look at you today and I can see that I did not do such a bad job raising you. You are a well-rounded young lady. Your focus is on the right things and you are a wonderful person. You are still a strong-willed child and now that you are 16, it is sometimes a greater challenge to raise you, but I want you to know that I love you and that I am proud of you. I will always be there for you.
