The story of me and MY SPACE.

It’s funny to think that just over two years ago, I knew nothing about scrapbooking. I knew people did it, but I thought it was just some trinkets stuck to a page, a flower pressed here and there, and the addition of a picture or two. Boy, was I mistaken. I got my first official “scrap” items for Christmas 2005. I was clueless. Enter my first couple of trips to the local Michael’s, Joann’s and then the LSSs. Oh my…what wonderful things were out there. Of course, I had to have a little of everything.

We were building a house at the time. My scrap stuff had over run our closet, our bedroom and some of the kitchen counter space. Hmmmm, this will never do. So, the wheels started spinning. Do we really need a sunroom to sit and enjoy our morning coffee? Since when do I actually SIT and have my coffee anyway?? I ran the idea past Eric. He was not sold on the idea at first. But….I did end up winning him over. (he got the den, the “man den”—that’s a whole other page btw).

The room is my special place to go and create. I love that I can leave projects in process and not have to worry about them being left out and being in the way of dinner. It’s a little piece of the house that is just mine. My little sanctuary, so to speak. It could use a better table and better ORGANIZATION, but that’s ok, it’s MINE.
