The top poem is from a KI memories paper,

a boy is...
trust with dirt on it's face
beauty with a cut on its finger
wisdow with bubble gum in its hair
and the hope of the future with
a frog in its pocket
-unknown

and I adjusted the poem to fit my son in the picture, so it reads:

a boy is ...
trust with dirt on his knees
beauty with a broken leg
wisdom with a mohawk in his hair
and the hope of the future with
rocks in his pockets

this is one of my fave pics of ds while he had his Superman cast on! What a little stud!
