Yes, we live in "the middle of nowhere". My husband designed and built our solar system for our electricity because the electric company wanted an enormous sum to bring electricity to our home. It works great! Our sprawling ranch home is "home" and we love it here. We built our adobe home with our own hands from the ground up. All the children have had different "jobs" to do throughout the building. It has been a great learning experience as well as some great family times. It is not complete, but is always in progress. It is home and we feel truly blessed to be living here.
Photography note: I know that the photograph violates the photographer's rule of not having the horizon in the middle, however, I couldn't decide what to cut out - sky or land. We seem to have equal amounts of sky and vacant land.
