This is my first scrapbook layout. These are pictures of us minutes after our courthouse wedding in June 2007. They were taken in a courthouse walkway overlooking the courthouse grounds and lake. The title has two meanings. It actually rained really hard on our way to the courthouse, and yet, the rain stopped in time for us to take outdoor pictures after the ceremony. If it's true what they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck, then we sure did get a lot of it! The second meaning to the title has to do with the rough times we had in our relationship. We each stuck it out and worked hard to make each other happy, and, here is the joy-filled wedding, "after the rain" from the stormy past of our relationship. The top journaling reads: "There are 7 different photos of the pose above because Jess said he didn't think he got the shot. We don't know if he was telling the truth, but soon we were laughing too much to keep kissing." The bottom journaling reads: "This is my first scrapbook page. Laurie Chais, of The Paper Niche, offered to get me started. She showed me how to choose papers & use cutting tools, glitter glue & jewels."
