The journal card is hidden behind the focal photo. Pull the Hanna Grace tab with ribbons and the journaling is revealed. it reads:
My brother and his wife Cheri were expecting their first child together. They were so
excited to find out that they were expecting. Cheri already had Allouri who was
around the corner from her teens. A few months into the pregnancy, they were given
heart-wrenching news. There was a problem with the size of baby’s head. Her head
was much larger than it was supposed to be. It was discovered that she had Hydrocephalus
It was more than serious. They were unsure about brain development and spinal bifida.
Regardless of what outcome they faced, my brother Craig and his wife decided that
no matter what, they would love this baby as long as they have the chance to. They took a
road, that many would not have courage or heart to endure. Cheri had a rough time with toxemia
and other complications. We almost lost her in the process. Hanna was born Dec 2, 2000.
She did have Hydrocephalus. They put a shunt into her brain and many inches of tubing
connected behind her ear, down into her stomach. She was slow to develop but alert
and responsive like every other baby. Hanna is 4 now. She is spunky, opinionated, full
of life, inquisitive and filled with the love of her whole family. As her aunt Lana, I truly
believe that in the presence of love-Miracles do happen!
I used photo twin markers by Ek success to dye the floral dept flowers. I also used stampin up crystal effects and glitter on the flower part of the sei pat. paper. I also used a circle punch to cut out a sei flower to make a cirlcle tag embellishment.
