This is for the Monthly theme challenge: Thanksgiving memories! My first time printing directly on a photo! Journaling (NOTE: one cuss word):
These are probably not the typical Thanksgiving memories for most families but then again we're not Typical! Patrick and I had Thanksgiving at his dad's house in Ava, MO with Tommy, Clanci and Kailee. Clanci brought the ham, turkey, stuffing, bread, jell-o salad, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. I brought mash potatoes, salad, deviled eggs and green bean casserole. The food was very yummy. Tommy and Patrick thought Clanci's pecan pie was to die for!
Kailee didn't want to eat when we ate so we told her to get down and go play. She decided she wanted to go outside so she was told to put shoes and a jacket on. She came out of the bedroom with one pink Dora sandal on. She couldn't find the other shoe and wanted help. I told her we were eating and she would have to find it or wait till we were done. So aabout 15 minutes later she came out wearing one pink Dora sandal and one yellow Sponge Bob sandal (on the wrong fooot!). Of course I laughed and grabbed the camera. Kailee and I went outside so she could run around and I could try to capture some moments on film! Well, I didn't capture it on film but we sure had a moment! She was running around the yard from one end to the other. She fell and got back up and started running again. She came over and told me she got dirty. I looked down and there was dog poop on her jeans, shoes and foot. So I stripped the child down in 40 degree weather and carried her in the house to clean her foot. As soon as the door opened she yelled with such pride, "I got dog poop on me!" Patrick and Tommy almost choked on their pie from laughing so hard. After I got done washing her off and getting ready to go get the poop covered items from outside Clanci made the comment about Kailee was suppose to have shoes on. Which I thought was funny so I said, "she did... they're covered in dog shit!" Once again Patrick and Tommy almost choked on their pie! What a wonderful Thanksgiving memory!
