After dropping DS #3's girlfriend off at the hospital for her tonsillectomy (sp?) this morning, I ventured into downtown Anchorage, to try to capture the lights and sights before traffic got heavy.

Each year the city of Anchorage puts up a Christmas tree in the Town Square the day after Thanksgiving. I wasn't able to be there for the "lighting" last week, but it was my main focus this morning. This ornament is actually quite large - maybe 8"-10" across - and I used my macro mode to get this shot. I thought it came out rather pretty with the lights and the city buildings in the background. I hope you think so, too :)

*ETA* I took this shot at 6:05 am
