That is wonderful! I always wanted to make one of a shepherd in a field, and then add an angel for each day, and fill the sky with angels.

I had an advent calendar each year when I was growing up, but they were all store-bought (a different one each year). When my kids were young, one of their grandmothers made a cute one out of felt and they enjoyed it a lot. We don't have it anymore, unfortunately. I made this advent calender a few years ago. I grew up with one exactly like this, and loved it so much that I made one for my kids.

This is made out of felt. The little black squares are Velcro, and the figures have the opposite side of the Velco on their backs. There's 25 things to put up, and we always save Baby Jesus for Christmas day.
