My youngest graduated from elementary school 3 days prior to my oldest son's graduation from high school. This is a layout I did of the two of them before our elementary school 2007 graduation. Our elementary school has a graduation ceremony for 6th graders before leaving the elementary school to move on to jr. high and high school. The elementary school asked my oldest son to come speak at the elementary school graduation as he is a role model for the younger children. They asked him to share with the younger ones his high school experience, his extra curricular activities, and his experience in high school sports. In his speach Brandon (my oldest son) encouraged the young students to involve themselves in what ever interests them and always keep academics first. The youngest boy received a special award at elementary school graduation for his patriotism and dedication as Flag Monitor. The hidden journaling says: Dad and I were unsure of who to be most proud of. We are proud of you, Dillon, for your dedication. We are happy that you are so anxious to move onto a new chapter in your young life. We are proud, Brandon, that the Utica Elementary School administrators consider you a role model for the younger children, that you have made such good choices, and that you are good and honest. We truly have much to be proud of.
