I went camping up in Watkins Glen many years ago and I think it's beautiful up there! This is a wonderful picture! Oh, there was (is) a restaurant on the main street that serves the BEST spinach salad I've ever had!
Whoa - soooo pretty! Love ice formations and this one is gorgeous :) What a blessing that you're so near to this lovely area!
Great shot - TFS :)

I was just going to pm you and ask where in new York you were...now I know you are about 3 hours North....My parents used to have a summer house in Shushun NY so I have been through Watkins Glen many times I should have stopped to see this ...It's beautiful... Great shot
Just a half hour away from my house is a world wonder -- "Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer tours through the gorge, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout."
