SHCG: So simple and yet so terrifically awesome. Love your colors here and adore the tic-tac-toe thing you got going on the pictures. Love how all the arrows bring your eyes right to the pictures. I wouldn't change a thing.
Heee, I can completely relate!! Try having someone take your picture from above, for instance them on a second floor, you on the first looking up and over your shoulder towards them. Seems like all the pics of myself that I like are taken from this sort of angle.
SHCG: This is fantabulous! I love everything about it! What a hilarious look at something that I am sure we can all relate to...at least I know that I can! I'd love to see some outlining or inking around some to the embellishments to make the stand out a bit more. Otherwise, I think this is perfect! Ab Fab!
SHCG: OMG! I have the exact same problem! I think one out of every 30 photos of me are acceptable. I love the idea, the journaling, the "x's & o's", everything about this LO is cool!
I am the exact way!!! And I just hate it when people INSIST on getting in your face to take your picture without any advance warning!! But you made a cute page here anyway!!!
LOL!! Too funny! I feel the same way most of the time. That's why when I do take a great pic, I make a point to scrap it!! What a unique size and design, great idea using the photo corners as arrows. Great lo!
I'm the same!!! I had to send a good qulaity pic of myself to a magazine for publishing and it took 35 attepts to get one which was semi-decent!! Love your design. It's a fantastic idea!!
SHCG - What an incredibly innovative design! I love the tic tac toe/multiple pics idea to convey your thoughts, the arrows leading up to the pics of your (lovely, IMO) mug, all the color choices & the lined paper journaling. Now I'm rather an ink junkie, so I could visualize some inking around the outer perimeter of the photos, as well as around the title & journaling block, but that's just a suggestion based on my preferences. Outstanding work, Guv'nah!
SHCG: This is a beautiful page and I think every one of the pictures on this page is beautiful and unique. I love the creativity you used by turning your pictures into a tic tac toe board and also love how you used the brackets as arrows to draw the viewers attention to your pictures. The only thing I had trouble with when I looked at your page was following the direction of the titling...once I figured it out I got it, but maybe you could make it a little more bold to catch the attention...
SHCG: Love this lo! I'm the same way! Aren't we all?!?!?! Anyways, back to the lo-I love everything about it-the brackets, the photos, the photo corners, the journaling block and the inking! Great lo!
I think every picture of me is bad too, but I'm trying to get in front of the camera more. I think we're too hard on ourselves. Your lo is very cool. Love how you used the photo corners as arrows!
You need to learn to love yourself. Stand in front of the mirror everyday and try to admire something about yourself that you like and build up from there. Eventually you will learn to admire whom God created -- I know, been there.
SHCG: I can totally relate to this! And, I appreciate that you scrapped it. I love the tic tac toe idea, the journaling block shape and pp, and the corrugated look to the bg cs. I like how the chevrons direct the attention towards the photo, and those circles in the bottom (though I can't figure out what purpose they serve other than they're a nice touch). My only critique is that the top left and top center photos are very similar. I'd consider switching out that top center photo with one of you that doesn't include that pained grimace, but one where you're looking straight at the camera with a Mona Lisa smile. I think it'll make your message that much more powerful to have this one variation.
I feel the same way! I think, "could I really be that ugly??" Surely not... at least I hope not! What an awesome LO... I should totally lift this one! :)
Journaling Reads: I hate having my picture taken. Here is the reason why. No matter what, I end up looking horrible. I love to take pictures, I just don't want mine taken. Why does the camera lens hate me? Could someone tell me that?
