The swirls were extracted from one of Dana’s papers, copied into three layers, which were then blended (top layer normal, middle layer darkened, and bottom layer multiplied) to give the effect I wanted.
Journaling: I don’t remember when it started. But at some point, I began collecting Old World Santas. I try to add a new one every year or two. Each year, I display them a bit differently. I put them up when the kids aren’t home, because I love seeing their eyes widen and their faces light up when they walk in to see the family room filled with Santas and decorated for the holidays.
