This is such a cleaver thing to do. I love how you did the journaling. Is that vellum? This lo caught my attention because popcorn is really important in my family too.
What a great idea for a layout! Really did bring back some memories! LOL! (although alot of mine involved the smell of burnt popcorn...but it seemed to taste better coming from a pan...)
this is for the inanimate object challenge. I chose popcorn as my subject because it reminds me of my Dad and a lot of childhood memories.
journaling reads: Memories of POPCORN
I will always remember the old Orville Redenbacher commercials where “their popcorn popped so much better, it lifted the lid off the pot.” Well when I make popcorn, I always try to do that. Well this time, it really did lift the lid off. So, I had to get a picture of it. Now looking at this picture, brings back all of the memories I have of eating popcorn with my family. For as long as I can remember, I have loved popcorn. It doesn’t matter what kind it is, if it pops, I love it. Hot air, microwave, kettle corn, movie theatre, jiffy pop, cheese corn, the stuff from Wal-Mart’s snack bar, any kind. But my absolute favorite is the kind popped on the stove top. When I make popcorn, that’s how I make it. But mine will never compare to Dad’s. He made to best popcorn. After it was done popping, he would mix the popcorn, salt and butter together by shaking it up in a brown paper grocery bag. Then he would put in our “popcorn” bowls, we each had our own. (I still remember what mine looked like.) Then he would add pretzels and potato chips to it. We would do this every Saturday night and watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island. I really miss Dad’s popcorn.
