SHCG: You are the queen of nifty ideas! What a great idea for remembering and learning about all your relatives. You will definately cherish this for years to come!
SHCG: Sharon, I am both happy for and envious of you. Happy you and your family will have these pages to cherish and perhaps pass down eventually. Envious of your experience. Both of your parents come from families of 12?! Wow, it sounds so rich in love and tradition and strong family bonds and a sense of belonging. It's beyond great that you have this, and even more wonderful that you made it happen. Is everyone going to get to see the final product? Did Greg learn/use some Tagalog? My fave word on here, btw, is paborito. :D
SHCG: This is fabulous, Sharon. I'll bet you got some great answers and it is something that your family can cherish forever. I agree with Denitza about recreating it for Greg's side of the family! Superb!
SHCG: Awesome! I love the page! It's like mini family tree of your side of the family. You should do one for Greg's family and save it for the future generations. Great, great , great!
When we went to the Philippines, I met LOTS of relatives for the 1st time (both my parents are one of 12 kids). I wanted to know a little more about people so I made these guestbook pages inspired by those at guestbookstore.com. I didn't want my pages to be too involved given how many people would attend & a potential language barrier for some. So I made these pages, asking for people's names, interests, how they're related to my parents, etc. w/ Tagalog (Filipino language) translations & left a space for people's photos to be put later. Most of my main relatives did their pages (though a few spouses/kids did not) & the results are priceless souvenirs. I treasure these pages about my faraway relatives so much!
