Great shot! I don't think we have any "tree farms" here in southcentral Alaska (not sure about the rest of the state), though we are able to get permits to drive out in the country and cut down a "wild" tree of our choice :)
Great take on the challenge - TFS!

**ETA** DH says we do have a local tree farm, but I guess they aren't very good quality (we're not known for fat, fluffy conifers in our part of the state).
Great family tradition. I don't do the real tree thing, allergies and that story of the little fur tree when I was little I just can't cut a tree down.
We have an artificial tree. We used to get real trees, but I always grew attached to them. About five years ago, we had one that was starting to burgeon when we had to "kill" it. I felt so sad, like a little child. I prefer my fake tree. But I miss the smell.
How wonderful to be able to get your own tree. While we were getting ours I met a man who said that a long time ago he used to go out into the woods to find one and it often meant a 3-day trip!
On Sunday, we went to cut down our Christmas tree. We have made this a family tradition! We started doing this 9 years ago when our 1st ds was born! These are Frasier Firs! This year was the quickest that I have ever picked out a tree. I am very picky about my Christmas tree!
