Well, the original version of this was entered for the Floorplan challenge. So now, I've modified it to fit my 12x15 family album by adding another 3" to the bottom, along with more photos. I also spaced the title a little better and added a rub-on to the picture. Thanks for looking!

JOURNALING:
We would so love for the girls to enjoy reading books. Even better, we’d love for them to learn Norwegian at an early age. Truls and I have been building up quite a library of bedtime and story books in English and Norwegian. At one year old, they’re not yet paying attention to the stories but they are interested in books. Anna Liv and Mia Karine have moved passed the “book tasting” phase and get very excited about “page turning.” Truls gets a kick out of reading to them and has incorporated this activity in their bedtime routine. At first, they were a bit taken aback and let him know with their wails and cries. Where did all the singing go? After a few nights, their curiosity got the best of them and they began reaching for the books in his hands.

We point the pictures out to them, hoping that one day all this information will sink in. We’re quite sure that they are the great sponges we’ve always read about in the parenting books.

Of course, all this page turning is done in style and class in their plastic hats. An essential reading accessory. April 8, 2005
