While we were living in the US we were quite involved in the SCA. We recreated the Kamakura Period, 11 - 13th C Medieval Japan. Our local group hosted a medium sized event every year, Landsknecht Veridung. These pictures are from 2003.
Journalling:
"For Landsknecht 2003 I made new garb for Vince and Jamie,. They had matching hakama and kataginu in rust silk with creme silk kosode. We camped behind the hall where it is quiet and shaded, with some good friends camping close by. On Saturday, we dressed and made our way to the hall for breakfast, Jamie getting these shots of an excited Vince while I worked at getting dressed in my Kamakura street wear."
