This will probably go down as one of my ALL TIME favorite celebrations... Today we had this young lady, whom I fully intend Jaden to marry one day (I think arranged marriages would be a lovely thing!)
Anyway, we put together a skit of the Christmas story, She was Mary, (of course) and Jaden was Joseph, Caleb a shepherd and Taye a wise man riding the giraffe in the back! Carter J was a cow in the manger. It was HYSTERICAL, they decided that Mary had to ride the "donkey" (the rocking horse) into the scene, so she sat side saddle on it, while I read about Joseph coming up out of Nazareth to Bethlehem, Jaden shouts, "Joseph is commin', this Mary is just honkin' heavy" LOL
Then, "Mary" Lays down next to the manger and says, "OOOOH, Joseph, this baby is commin' and you've got to get him out"
Joseph promptly says "I'm NOT doing THAT"
So Mary grabs the baby by the legs and yanks him out of her shirt and swings him around, wraps him up and then EVER so gently places him in the manger. They sang Hark the Herald angels sing with GREAT delight!
