I think I know a Christmas Eve party that would be a perfect match for this lo! Don't blame the scrap lifter....blame the artist who made the cute design in the first place!!! LOL
SHCG: Great multi-photo idea! I love it! It's a visual pleaser. The lo is vibrant and colorful, and a great way to get all those candid present-opening photos on one page. I love your use of all the different pps; they are well-coordinated. I'm also jazzed that you used that distressed pp as your bg, because I have the same one and I'm having trouble covering it up. I love the angle of the tree, the title font, and the journaling on vellum with the snowflakes. A couple of thoughts here: I'm not keen on the star being b/w, I feel EVE should also be a different color, I can see decorative punch edges on the polka dot pp, and trimming the trunk two spaces on each side might make it less overpowering. Sorry this critique comes two weeks after your post. I'd love to know which keychains you got, too.
SHGC: Great page LUV the tree, ornaments, star. Great colors too. Something about the angle of the journaling bothers me. Maybe I would have just put it (and aligned it) on the tree trunk .
PS Also love the red square outline.
SHCG: Melissa. OMG!!!!!!! I love this! LOVE IT! I see what the others said about the trunk, but I didn't/don't have a problem with it. I can't tell you how much I love this. I am so inspired by it that I am going to scraplift it today. I hope that is ok! I love the journaling on the vellum and the angle of everything. I personally believe that things at an angle are so much more visually appealing. After rereading the description, it is so funny that you lifted this from a digital layout because I had to look closely to figure out if it was digi or not. It looks fabulous! Super job! I need to hurry and get through critiquing so I can lift this!
SHCG:Love this lo! I like the tree with the photos and the title! I think you can ink or doodle the bottom of the tree or you can put the journaling on top of that pp. Great lo!
SHCG: I so LOVE this! Too cute and a great way to use multiple photos!!!The only thing I would suggest is a thick inking around the"base" of the tree, I think it would help make it appear more as the base as soon as you look at it., otherwise, LOVE this lo!
SHCG: I really like this page! Very creative idea of the circles for the Christmas tree and the distressed looking paper is beautiful for this page. My only confusion was the trunk of the tree and this could be just me, but when I first glanced at it I wondered why there was just a blank square of paper and then I realized it was the tree trunk. I think it was just my impression though because I do not see anyone else having the same issue.
SHCG: I really love this LO. I love the angle of the tree and journaling. I also love the title. I love the square of pp as a frame for the whole page. I really do not see a single thing I would add/change. It looks awesome to me
SHCG - Melizza, I freakin LOVE this! All that pp is wonderful & the angled jaunty Christmas tree design is so cute 'n clever. & of course you know I love me some multiple photos action. Every element is just excellent & you really captured a lovely fun holiday time here. Awesome LO as is!
This is my paper version of a digital layout I saw at shabbyprincess.com. Two pictures are blurred out because they are pictures of the Bad Taste Bears keychains my friend got us for christmas and I wasn't sure if they were appropriate. Journaling reads: Christmas Eve Eve 2007 Mel, Tia & Lizzie. I guess we are still like little kids, because when Christmas comes we can't wait to open presents. That's why it's great to get a few gifts early from friends who have other plans on Christmas!
