my journaling reads: I took these picture in May of 2007. This is the sunrise over Tokyo Bay. Chris had been deployed for a couple of days, and I was really missing him and my mom. I was having trouble sleeping so I was up for the sunrise. I thought it was beautiful. I was staring out at the ocean thinking, somewhere out there is my husband. I picked the title of the song because for it this was a turning point and a new day for me, to try and figure out what to do, and how to do it alone. Other times when chris would deploy, I always had my mom to call or fall back on, but this time she would be there. I wondered if I would make it. Could I handle it?
I found a great strength in myself.
