Stunning shot and great journaling -- unfortunately, I know families who have similar issues; those where the mother had walked out on the children and left them w/the fathers and others where the mother is too drugged out and psychotic to know (or care) how to raise a child properly. It is so good that he has you, the fact that he is talking to you about his feelings show he is dealing with the issues. this is a wonderful photo he has very pretty eyes.

The poor little guy. It must be so hard for him to control his behavior with those awful feelings bottled up inside him. It sounds like he can trust in you enough to share some of his feelings with you. Hopefully, he can pull some strength from that.

Poor kid, it's so sad. He's a beautiful child (I remember from another pic) inside and out. I truly hope he will be ok. I don't think you can fix the hurt he's been through, but being there for him right at this moment and loving him unconditionally, that will probably make a huge difference in his life. At least, he knows he deserves to be loved.

I hope in time he will realize that you are more of a real Mom to him than his birth Mom. From the little bit you wrote - it does sound like he knows that already. What a beautiful picture - love the lashes.
