SHCG: I LUV this page. Great photos. I crave a few more red highlights like brads And tiny names in white ink on the bottom of the photos AND Max needs a big circle of BLING around his little head! and giant arrows pointing to him.
SHCG: Jessica, I love this. Look at how cute your little family is!!!! Hey, I recognize that date stamp. :-) I'm so glad that you found a use for it! I love the paper you chose, the colors, the placement: everything! I do understand what others are saying about wanting red. I would like you do mount the photos on one big block of red and then take Melissa's advice and color in random bits of the trees and the dots to add some red accents. I think that would be the final touch. I love this layout, as is though. I am so jealous that you have scrapped this past Christmas already. I need to get on the ball.
SHCG: Did you make that little snowman yourself? He is adorable. Oh and the trees and snowflakes. So cute and so Christmas! Ok I am not so sure about where the pictures start and stop. I feel like they should have either stretched the entire height of the page or been cropped a bit and leave a bigger margin like sharon suggested. Either one would work. I feel like there should be more red somewhere too. I like the ideas of using red pen for the dates, but I was also thinking taking the red pen and using it to customize that tree pp. For instance adding some red to the bulbs on that one tree on the pp. It would add a subtle touch of red. Great job girl... Oh, and I never realized how tiny max was until seeing him next to people.. awww.
SHCG - Jess, this is such a fun & lovely LO - excellent pp, colors & photos! Those organic-lookin snowflakes are absolutely fabby! I would crop the photos a bit more so that you can have a bigger margin at the top & bottom & have the solid blue/trees pp "framing" the photos on the top & bottom, kwim? So we see a border of the solid blue on top behind the top photo & a border of the trees pp on the bottom behind the bottom photo. I'd also like a tiny strip of journaling, maybe along the edges of the photos, just to give the who/what /where for future viewers. Finally, I'd put "2007" or "'07" in red writing somewhere near the title. Am loving this LO so far, Jess!
SHCG: Love the colors and the photos! The snowflakes are great too-just to make them pop a little bit more I'll put either glitter on the edges or a rhinestone, but a little bit off center.Love the trees with the dates-just to bring some red on that side, totally up to you-you can use red pen to circle the date. One more thing-the title -I'll pull it don a bit so it's not in the middle. Can't wait to see the finished lo!
SHCG: Jess, personally I love this! LOVE the date on the xmas tree, the snowman, the PP's....everything is wonderful! The only suggestion I could think of is possibly inking the solid green paper and make the edges a bit frosty looking kwim? Great job as is though too!
Just a quick LO that I did for all of our family xmas pictures. THe snowflakes I just drew on chipboard, cut out, and painted them. I"m not 100% sure about all of it. It's very simple.. pretty much all just layered paper. Should I add anything, take anything away? Nothing is glued down so suggest away! The edges of the papers are distressed with my new heidi swapp edge distressor (complements of my secret santa, lisa) and inked. Ok, all suggestions welcome!
