( See also LO entitled Papa's Girl - Before) In Aug 2006 my MIL passed away from cancer. She wasn’t only my husbands mother, she was my friend, the woman who helped me raise my DD into the lovely young lady she is today and she was also my scrapping buddy. Over the past few months I have been slowly assimilating her scrap stash into mine. Today I found a LO amongst a pile of bazzill cardstock. It looked like she had either started the LO and not finished or had started and not liked what she had done and put the LO aside (maybe due to ill-health at the time). I could see that she hadn’t put her usual enthusiasm into it even though the subjects are the two people who meant the most to her in the world. Her DH and her only grandchild. I decided immediately to finish the LO. It is harder than you would think to finish an already half competed LO when it isn’t your own. The best find was that she had already journalled the LO using her own handwriting. The writing had faded a little so I scanned it and darkened it up. The only prob with her journaling was that it prevented me from moving the pics as she had stated where they were on the LO. I have also added a more recent pic to show how my DD has grown up.
It may seem like a simple LO but to my DD and I it is very special. I have included the before and after to show what I mean. Thanks for looking.
