Love all of your pen work here, the marker gives your page a nice soft watercolored look...way to stay inside the lines! Love your journaling about your name (you have beautiful handwriting!). I named my boys one syllable names, that way no one could shorten them as they so often do, they are and remain who I named them.
Hey Willa! When I was in 7th grade I changed my name. It's never too late :) How'bout we call you Dale? I LOVE your lo, love that you included all of this journaling. Makes the page! Have a good night Dale!
This a terrific! I think you knocked this one out of the park. I love the colors and the design and your handwritten journaling! (Your handwriting is beautiful!)
Very creative way to meet the challenge! I share your feelings about your name. I have always used my middle name and as a child hated my first name, Delores. My goal was also to give my children a first name that they would be known by!
This Lo is for the ~Scrap Your Name ~ challenge and the ~Pens Only~ challenge. I drew my frames ,name, and flowers and then chalked. It's all done with a white piece of cardstock, black micro pen, chalk. Added center of flowers with an orange bic marker, the arrow and title words with a purple bic marker, and the stars with a blue bic marker.
Journaling reads: Dale...my name...a name given to me almost 50 years ago. My daddy liked to hear Dale Evans Rogers sing and that is how i happened upon this name. I only wish my parents had chosen this as my first name instead of my middle name, because I never liked my first name which is Willa.I remember asking my mother where she got the name Willa & she said she had gotten it from a newspaper. Because of never liking to be called Willa, I decided I would call my children by their first name. So, when naming them the name they were to go by became their first name.
