This is my dm who suprised me with a borthday cake today at my dd's family birthday party! There is a close up on my dmil, Suzi29, gallery. My mother is such an inspiration to me! She has worked her way up from a nurse to a CEO of a major medical center in Connecticut! She gives so much of herslf, volunteering for various charitable organizations as well as works very hard at everything that she does! She has one major obstacle/ challenge in her life...about 3 1/2 years ago she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis! I know that everyday is a struggle for her, but she continues to work very hard at anything and everything that she does! Every year since she was diagnosed, my children and I participate in the MS Walk. Last year, I was in the top 3 fundraisers in Dutchess County and in the top 100 in the upstate NY chapter (which covers almost the whole state except for Westchester, Rockland Counties and NYC and Long Island! This is my way of helping my dm and giving like she has tought me!
