We put my oldest son in soccer this year. He's only 4, he didn't really like it, but we only have a few more games, and we're sticking it out. I still wanted to do a page to "show him off" in his cute uniform!

The journaling is under the big picture, it says:

You honestly weren’t too excited about playing soccer. Actually, it was really hard on you. Your whole life you were taught to share, wait your turn and not take things from other people. Yet here you were, on the field with one ball that you were patiently waiting for someone to pass to you so that you could run with it. You never tried to take it from someone, and when someone tried to take it from you, you stepped aside. But when you did happen to get the ball, you were so happy; we could see your huge smile from the other side of the field. One time, you even ran over to us yelling, “I kicked it! I kicked the ball,” and the game was still going. Your favorite part of the game was going through “the tunnel.” Sometimes, that is what kept you motivated during the game. During the middle of the season though, you started to run out of steam. You may not be a big soccer fan right now, but you will always be the MVP in our eyes! (You also looked absolutely adorable in your uniform!”

The big soccer ball I printed out from a clip art from the internet. I actually used a sketch idea from another site (shh, can I say that!?! Thanks so much for looking.
