ok... I must agree the argyle is not my fav too.. I have never been a argyle kind of girl, but the colors are what I really don't like together.. but great lo!
Wow u did a great job with all those papers. The argyle paper I agree is not a favorite...maybe on sweaters its ok.(though my hubby hates it on sweaters too). Totally great LO.
I love what you did with the ugly paper - it doesn't look so bad now :) And you've given me some ideas since I have a TON of ugly paper - lol! Can you tell me more about the journaling genie program you used? I'd love to check it out!
very cute! love the title, the journaling, the flowers and the swirls. You did great on this challenge. I knew you could do something with those pps :) Thanks for being my buddy on this challenge, it was fun!
Girl you blew this challenge away... I love everything about it. I love the way you did your flowers... I love the way you altered your pic, the Title work and the way you made your ugly pp's match for this LO and look great together. That is the weird part..lol I think adding the green accent pulled them together. Great eye!! I also love the swirl journaling. AWESOME job!!
THis is really good GIna! Love the handcut flourishes & the photo editing is soo cool!! Very creative.I too like the little doilies! This is a good pic of you & your baby girl!
This is my LO for the Scrap Happens Critique Group's ugly pp challenge. My partner Nicole had to pick two ugly pp's for me to use. She chose that argyle stuff and the orange stuff. I added the solid green and the pale peach background paper. The journaling says: After my hand surgery on Dec 31st, I visited my scrapbook.com neighbors online and couldn't help how green-eyed with jealousy I felt at their cool pages! I wanted to scrap so badly!
For the argyle stuff, I tried to pretty it up with some glitter, which is hard to see. I also used the green triangles as leaves on the flowers and made the flower centers with it. As you can see, it is a large part of the border, as well and is also used in the photo mat. The word "eyed" is cut from it, too. I used the orange stuff to mat the journal box, make crinkled paper flowers, and hand-cut flourishes. It is also in the center of the border. I inked the green letters in the title, after cutting the "eyed monster" out on my Sizzix. The "green" letters are from the dollar store. I changed my picture in PSE 2.0 so that I have green eyes (my eyes are usually brown). I used the journaling genie program to put the journaling in a swirl. I used old crochet mini-doilies that I've had for over ten years! That's right - I'm a hoarder. This is also for Jan-Feb's U Crack Me Up challenge to make a funny LO. TFL at this ugly pp! I hope you didn't go blind.
