Oh man! I wish I had thought to buy postcards when we went in Boston. My daughter has actually talked about donating her body for years now. So to see it was kind of interesting. And I think it made her want to do it even more. Cool layout!
I am SOOO jealous ... I thus far have got to see it on t.v. Yes, even me who would faint at the sight of a needle would LOVE to see this exhibit. LOVE the LO!
They had this in Florida and I was so bad that I missed it- now its in Pittsburgh where I live now and I'd better not miss it again! The nurse in me loves this stuff too! Thanks for the reminder! :)
And great LO!
I loved this exibit when it came to the Tampa Bay area!! Your right Donna, us nurses think this stuff is so cool, my husband thought it was gross!! Great LO on such a cool subject, good job!!
I suspect the polymer wouldn't stand up well to a lot of camera flashes aimed at it. I do like your layout and I'm kind of morbidly fascinated with this whole "next generation" theme park kind of thing. Where exactly is this place? Since we wouldn't want to miss it if we were in the area. . I'd like to not be in the area. LOL (please don't tell me it's at the beach!)
You know, this really makes you think! You have to look at all the different things going on, and I imagine as a nurse you see and have so many different things going on. I guess this is your life. Wonderful lo!
I'm afraid I agree with your DH! But, you did a great job on the layout! My son wrote a short essay about this very thing(from info he read - not from going to the exhibit) He was pretty grossed out by it! LOL!
Great idea with the postcards to remember the day by! Sounds very interesting. The exhibit was here for a while but I never got the opportunity to get there.
VERY INTERESTING EXHIBIT I BET. I HEARD THEY HAD THAT AT OUR SCIENCE CENTER. THE LO IS VERY COOL. LOVE THE PAPER AND THOSE LITTLE TAGS YOU PUT IN THERE. GREAT IDEA.
Awesome work! I can think of about 16 things from my dirty mind to say, but I will keep it sensored....love that you scrapped this, adn I love the colors and arrangement!
I think I would have to side with your DH on this one...kinda creepy, but it does look interesting none the less. Loving the kit you used on this wondeful 2-pager!
I have to agree ... you're a brave, brave girl :) !!! But no can do as far as I'm concerned... I would've passed out :( !!! You did a great job with your new pp's and the post card was a great idea! WTG!
My hubby would have had so much fun there, and I would have been walking through with blinders. The horse was interesting, maybe that's the vet receptionist in me... good job!
ok, I can see why the 'nurse' would find it sooo interesting,, but I might be with your hubby on this one,,, heehee,,, but I'm not a nurse! Still it is a great lo and great that you preserved something you are interested in!
This was an exhibit I couldn't miss. These are real bodies donated to science and preserved with polymer preservation. "plastination". Hubby thought it was creepy, but the "nurse" in me loved it. You couldn't take pics inside the exhibit so to make sure I scrapped the memory I bought postcards. This was from a scrapjammies kit.
