This is just beautiful! Your heritage layouts are amazing!!! The story about the powder on the shoe is so funny, but I'm sure it wasn't at the time. Kudo's to your mom for making the most of it!!
Your mom was a fine lady...she was strong...most girls would NOT have had their pic made with the shoe messed up!!! Since I grew up in that era (sigh) this photo looks a lot like some our mine (I was born in the early 50s, but remember looking at yearbooks of the seniors when I was elementary school age!) I LOVE this layout!
Love the black and white - I probably should have converted the pic of my mom and dad's prom pic to b&w before scrapping it since the color is so bad. Love your description - I wouldn't have noticed the shoe if you hadn't said something - :)
I wouldn't have noticed the shoes if you hadn't said that. I was just noticing how fluffy her dress was! Love the picture. I wish I had my mom's prom pictures!!! Cute story here !
what a great pic to have. you did a lovely job with this. am crazy about the ribbon and charm. i bet she did hate dropping that powder puff, but she looks beautiful.
This picture is of my Mom at her prom in the early 1950's. I kept it simple because the guy in the pic is not my Dad! The story about this pic is: my Mom went to the ladies room before the picture was taken and dropped her powder make-up on her new black velvet shoe! She was so upset, but I do have pictures of her at home before they left where the shoe is clean! TFL
