I love the sentiment that this LO expresses, you do it simply, with few words. I agree, a simple background of tan or matting each of the photos in red would help them pop. I'm so sorry that you lost your other pics. The Corp does dress photos, so perhaps you can get one for your scrapbooks.
I'm sorry to hear about your lost pictures. This lo is great. I love the diamond and the words while simple are touching. I agree that a background for the pics would help empahsize them. The center photo is great!
Good Evening! First, I am so sorry about the lost pictures. I know that has to be painful! I love the lo just the way it is. I think sometimes we can add so much we forget that it is the PICTURES we want people to notice. I just paused and said a prayer that God will put His hedge of protection around your brother and keep him safe.
Could you pm me and tell me how you did this layout? I am trying to learn computer scrapbooking and am having very little success. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Fantastic, what super photos..Did the Marines take dress photos? I am sure they may have, maybe you could order some from the photographer.. Ok for a critique.. I love the diamond and the saying brother, son, US Marine, Hero.
For starters, It is fine the way it is.. to pop the pics you could mat in a single color.. red or black.. or have a backround of red.. There is cool Marine Insigna paper and stickers ect.. from K&Co you may want them for additional pics..tan may also work as a cool backround as suggested by Maureen.
I just saw you did this on the computer... awesome.. so you can change backrounds and mats in an instant... cool... anyway terrific job..
Wow. Sorry bout the pictures. I love the diamond and the wording. My only suggestion is maybe you could crop the photos and zoom in more on your brother and maybe put the close up in the middle. The white does make it stand out so maybe you could mat the individual photos on white and then put them on a soft tan or army green background. Just a thought. I've been wanting to do some of my brother who's in the army. This is a really great concept. It's dramatic and powerful. good job.
This is a great layout! Love how you made the diamond connecting the pictures. So sorry about the pictures you lost, but thank goodness you still had these great ones :)
These pictures are from my brother's graduation, from bootcamp, weekend. I have a lot of great pictures but my mom and I both cried because we both lost a bunch of pictures. She had a roll of film that got destroyed and I have a memory card full that got corrupted. I don't have any of him in his dress uniform from the actual graduation ceremony.
I could not find a background that I liked and didn't seem to take away from the pictures, so I left it white.
