I had so much fun putting this lo together! I loved these pictures and really wanted to emphasize the "Flintstones" theme but could not find any supples so decided to make some myself. The little people are bitty bodies that I altered their clothes and hair to look like fred, wilma, and pebbles, and then cut the little tiny bones. I printed the title after enlarging it from the cover of the movie. It was blurry from enlarging so I printed it in black and white, cut it out and colored it in yellow and outlined the black. For the "stones", I cut circles and tore around the edges and then inked them in colors from the pictures. I also made the little bones and inked them. Journaling reads: One day at the store someone mentioned that Kadence's little pony tail looked like Pebbles Flintstone, the way it stood up on her hair and I was inspired to be the Flintstone family for the band Halloween party. I looked online for costumes and soon found that I could easily make costumes for cheap! I found a set of bright orange sheets and used the flat sheet as fabric to make Fred's shirt. I used one of Terry's old t-shirts as a pattern and cut it extra long with a jagged bottom. I then glued triangles of black felt to the orange shirt. I bought a yard of turquoise fabric from the clearance rack at Wal-Mart and Terry cut out a tie. For Pebbles costume, I simply cut a jagged edge on teh bottom on an over-sized pink t-shirt. And Wilma's dress was made toga style out of a white sheet. For her necklace, I used styrophome balls and strung them onto a piece of floss. I sprayed painted my hair an orangish color and tied plastic bones into the bun, as well as in Pebbles pony tail. Total the three costumes cost less than $20! And most importantly we were REALLY cute and had lots of fun!
