From our 1999 trip to Scotland: Message: November 22 took us through the highlands and to Glencoe, the ''weeping glen''. The area was so beautiful and peaceful, hard to believe that this was the scene of one of the most infamous massacres in all of Scottish history. I regret that we didn't take the time to stop to see the folk museum or the memorial to the MacDonald clan, but we had so much to see and so little time.
