This started out for the Great Minds Think Alike Challenge. We were to scrap with "alike" person so CatScrapsHere and I picked each other. Evidence that we think alike! So we each picked something that had to be on the layout and we decided to do it on how we met our husbands. My pick was tearing and she picked ribbon/fiber. So this is what I came up with. It is actually 3 pages cause the cover sheet to the album says a little bit about it too.
Also fits my COF group challenge: A family story (but I do have one I will do for that too), VLB - use a tag. Thanks for looking. and if you want to read the journaling here it is (it's long!):
Patrick and I met at the Division of Youth Services in Springfield, Missouri. He was training to be a Case Manager and I was in intern. A group of us from the office went to Nonna’s Restaurant on the square for lunch one day and while we were eating I remember thinking he was cute. But, I heard him say that his girlfriend was taking him to the IMAX Theater for his birthday so I figured he was out of the picture. During the following week a group was getting together at Key Largo for one of the Case Managers birthday and invited me to go. The day of the party Patrick and I were in the elevator and we started talking about if each of us were going to go to the party that night. I remember him saying he was going to sit at a park until the party since he lived in Ava which was too far to drive home before the party. So I told him if he wanted he could hang out at my house and watch television while I studied, unless he really wanted to hang out at the park. He came over and we talked the whole time till the party started. I remember talking about God and thinking that are beliefs were the same. We hung out at the party, then we went to Cheddar’s and he helped me roll silverware. That is how we begun dating. Since I was an intern we weren’t sure if we were allowed to date so we decided to keep it a secret until we knew for sure it was going to work. So he started calling me Sugar Booger so no one would know it was him if they saw a note he left for me. So for over two months I was Sugar Booger and he was Sugar Muffin! In December we told our bosses that we were dating and they said it was okay since he had moved to the office in Mt. Vernon. Journaling done 1-19-08.
