This is for the "We Challenge ourselves" Recycle Challenge.
The background is Christmas paper scraps. The ones that were too small to wrap anything. Not throwing anything out finally paid off!
The picture is of Santa & my niece, Klayre. I wanted her 1st Christmas background to be the papers that were actually at her first Christmas!
I folded them in one inch or smaller strips, then made a basket weave.
The picture mat is from the back of a card pack.
The letters are from starbucks sleeves. (I numbed my thumb in the process, appaerently I can't hold scissors correctly) =]
I got the idea to use coffee sleeves from YoZefie's Coffee Mini Album (in my favs).
It looks soooo uneven, and i think it might be a bit, lol, but it's more of how the picture is taken. There's a piece of card stock on the back, where I'll put a little journaling pocket.
I saw a bulletin board in a magazine with a basket weave and wanted to try it out!
