This page is simply lovely - your techniques are so inspiring! On a personal note, my daughter is at UF right now ... When the family goes camping in Ocala Nat'l Forest one of our friends (and UF Alum's) always brings us to a dry creek bed and we scoop up sand, take it back to the campsite, and "pan for shark's teeth"! PS - Love the meaning of the empty filmstrip!
Do you mind if I lift this for a LO of a great grandmother that passed when I was 6? I was supposedly standing there when it was taken and I have an awesome memory usually but I don't remember it.
Oh my god, I almost missed this. What a shame that would be. How fortunate you can scrap the memory thru your artistry. The description completes the page. Wonderful.
This is so touching and is the real reason that we scrapbook to preserve these wonderful memories. Love the title use with the photo. Much talent here my friend!
thank you so much for describing the meaning behind what you put on this layout...it is such a great one and I love the idea of the baggie and how you used it!
Wow! Love the old picture, and those stripes to the right side add so much dimension to the whole page, and add like a light and reflection of the siding of the house or something?? The Swirls go along with the victorian era style house too, as though there are some around a corner on a door way or gate or door!
I don't remember this far back anymore. My borther, my aunt Sue and I on Grandma Trieste's porch....My grandfather built the house in 1914.I used a silky tie bag and put a flower to represent the green thumbs my grandma gave to us.In the bag is very small seashells and beads as a reminder of my aunt taking us to the beach and how she taught us how to make beaded necklaces.A shark tooth found in the creeks in town is a reminder of how she taught us to hunt for shark teeth...I still find shark teeth in the creeks 2 blocks from where I live( Florida was once the ocean floor...32-35 million yrs ago....shark teeth are abundant in our communities creeks). The photo was faded and the memory of that day too....I intentionally left the "film strip "empty to symbolically represent the long forgotten times...when things were good.I chalked the side of the LO to give it some depth.
