The journaling is hard to read . . . here it is: Special techniques or journaling: I had heard that Sanibel Island, Florida was the seashell capital of the world . . . but I had no idea until I actually went there and saw it with my own eyes. Mom and I visited Blind Pass Beach, the "best beach for shelling" on the island, and we were not disappointed. I had never seen so many shells in one place before! Something about the tides and the currents around the island make it a landing spot for all kinds of shells and sand dollars. And if you hit the beach at low tide or just after a storm, there'sno telling the treasures you'll find. But even though the conditions were't the greatest the day we went--it was very foggy, and the tide was coming in--we were still able to collect some beautiful shells. I really wanted to find a whole conch shell to bring home, but I could only find pieces. It was fun searching, though, and maybe next time I'll get lucky.
