OMGosh I LOVE this! Your poem is perfect for the page - isn't it neat that you could put it to such good use?! The soft colors are amazing with that photo ---
On a quiet night when snow was falling, I captured this picture of the little spruce tree in our front yard. It was a beautiful time photographing this and enjoying that peaceful feeling you get when all the world is quiet as the blanket of snow descends.
When I went to journal the page, I remembered this poem that I wrote several years ago (1999). So I added that to the lo. I did not plan on that. I thought I would do it in strips down the side, but I'm not overly happy with how that came out!
Thanks for looking!
The poem reads: Autumn leaves from gold to gone, a lasting chill comes with the dawn Decorations and songs do tell of the perfect celebration for all to sell To fill a void, some hearts are searching tho' fireside, you feel cold within from outside looking in
But this is the season that despite such emptiness can bring a heart to be alive We are all connected in His reason the bond of love for each to give
So long ago a star in view now each year reminds us the world is born anew
Our hearts reflect like the glistening snow of memories from long ago Christmas past and Christmas present fall together as the snow descends
Our love we pass to family and friends to fill their hearts and make amends
And each year as autumn leaves bring winters fireglo remember the magic that you believe.
