Treasure Hunt

Journaling tag (hidden on left side) says: I got a new toy – a metal detector! Sarah and I have had some fun going ‘treasure hunting. Sarah was so cute, carrying all the supplies! It was a bit chilly, hence the huge sweatshirt I stuck on her! She didn’t care that it was too big; we were off to have fun! On this day we went to Phillip and Rachel’s backyard and see the picture of the treasures we found! (Heehee) As soon as it warms up we’re going to go treasure hunting again!
Sue (aka: Grandma)

PS The bottom picture shows our 'loot'!! Not much value, but we had fun digging it up!
This is for the ‘say it with words’ and ‘use your scraps’ and 'negative space' challenges.

The word ‘treasure’ is cut out of patterned paper. The word ‘hunt’ is letters cut out individually out of some very old Rusty Pickle scraps. The words ‘nature and life’ are cut out of the edging of My Minds Eye paper ‘signature life’. And the little dotted strips on the upper right were cut out of the same edging. (…am I cheap or what??) All papers, except the black cardstock are scraps. OH, the journaling card is also a scrap, as I accidentally cut it too short for another project, but just couldn’t throw it away!

Other leftovers are some 7 Gypsies rubons, a piece of measuring tape paper, a homemade clock, a Heidi Swapp letter, an unknown brad

This really doesn't have the glare in real life.

NOTE: the gun is a little rusted out toy gun that was actually found in two places, buried in the yard. We were so surprised to see that they went together. (it's all busted up now) It looks like it may have been an old cap gun.
