This is WAY outside my comfort zone but gave it a whirl none the less. I wanted to do a layout that covered a span of time. These are photos starting with the morning before I gave birth to Scout through my maternity leave. I put alot of thought into the journaling so at least I like that.

JOURNALNG: Maternity Leave usually entails a snapshot in time that when you look back on it is a complete blur. Days and nights that blend into one another amidst diaper changes & feedings. Whether it’s 2 a.m. or 2 p.m. becomes irrelevant. And before you know it, it’s over. That was my story when I had your sister, Bennet. A complete blur. When I had you, Scout, I promised myself to slow down & savor my time off of work, to approach my maternity leave as an extended vacation. A crazy, sleepless vacation at home with my girls.
I only had 6 short weeks off. I took those 6 weeks and cherished every moment. The good, the bad, the ugly. The sweet times when we could steal your Dad away from work & walk to the park during the middle of the day. The exhausting times when you and I were up all night cluster feeding watching bad tv. The blissful times when I would declare a mid-week pajama day. The stressful times when both of you were screaming and there is only one of me to go around.
I loved being home with you & your sister. More than I ever thought I would. It was a big adjustment being home with 2 kids after usually being at work all day. But I will never forget those six weeks in the fall of 2007. The six week vacation I had home with you; my girls, my family. 6 weeks + 2 girls really does equal one happy mom.
