Fish tank. Almost there. Last week the ammonia was down and the nitrites were up. I hope to test tomorrow to see if I have nitrates yet!!!

(bad news though, my starfish is dead. Which means I'll be taking down that tank and moving the rock over to this one.)

Once I have nitrates, I'll have to do a water change. Then i'll 'feed' the tank (put in a piece of shrimp), wait a week and test. If I don't have any ammonia or nitrites, then we're good to go. Once I get the nitrates down to zero (how long this takes will depend on how high they get!) I can't do more than say 20%-25% water change at a time (worse cause I could do 50% but not on a newly cycled tank-could cause a re-cycle-which means I'd have to start all over again...) However, by bucket isn't nearly big enough to old 18gl so I do smaller water changes (you have to let the salt and water mix over night).

So, soon? I have to move the rocks, once I do that, i'll wait a week and watch for any changes (i'll be adding a lot of 'life', while it should stay stable, there's always a chance).
