WOWeverything about this is breath taking. I am sure it is hard to have someone you love away and especially to Iraq. I personally thank you and your family and your husband for all the sacrifices that are being made to keep us safe.
I like it just the way it is. Unless you place the stamp slightly off the corner so just the top touches the paper (not the whole stamp). I love this page, my husband is going back for his third trip to the sandbox this fall.
This brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts. I know how special it is to have someone you feel so strongly about. The layout is breathtaking.
I'm not sure if I commented on this layout, so just in case...I LOVE your clock and the wonderfully, sweet sentiment behind this layout! Simply beautiful, girl!!!
Your pages are always so meaningful and beautiful Sandy!! and your home made clock!!! WOW!!! ...I wouldn't add another thing, this page has perfect balance!!
HI SANDY. I JUST SAW YOUR ENCHANTED LO IN THE GALLERY SO I WANTED TO COME BY AND CHECK OUT YOUR OTHER STUFF. I LOVE THIS. I AM SO SORRY YOUR DH IS GONE AGAIN. BUT I AM HONORED TO KNOW ABOUT HIM. YOU WERE ASKING ABOUT PUTTING THE STAMP IN THE OTHER CORNER. I WOULDN'T. I THINK IT'S PERFECT JUST THE WAY IT IS. I PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE THINGS THAT ARE TOO SYMETRICAL (sp). I DON'T KNOW IF YOU DH IS STILL GONE, BUT IF HE IS I HOPE FOR HIS SAFE RETURN.
What love! super lo, love your photo merge and the red w/ black make it pop! my prayers are with you & your love for his safe return so that you can spend many days sharing your love together!!!
Wow! This caught my eye before I even read what it was about! This is absolutely beautiful!! The clock is terrific!! Wonderful picture! Thank you to both you and your dh for his service!!! I am grateful!! Adding this terrific layout to my favorites!
This is incredible. You have done a wonderful job and I'll bet it helps to strengthen you in the tough times. I love the flower in the center of the clock, too - as well as your quote. Perfect!
This is gorgeous! That clock is awesome! I think the one more flourish would be perfect. I would like to thank you and your husband for all you are sacrifincing for the rest of us! We truly appreciate it! Thank you!
This is so heartfelt...I pray that the troops will be home soon...That they will remain safe...That their loved ones keep the faith...And your wait will end soon...Beautiful page!!
Stunning layout, Sandy! I love the effect of the photo and all the details in your design! My special thanks to your dh for serving our country, and for keeping us all safe! HUGS to you for all the waiting you have to endure...I hope time passes quickly for you!!!
This LO is stunning. I love the colors and the clock. The picture is very profound. My heart goes out to you & your husband. I know this must be terribly hard thing to go through. Beautiful work .
The sentiment behind this layout is so important to me and very close to my heart. It has taken me forever to finish this and I'm happy to have it done. The clock is completely handmade. I made it before I even knew they had the huge overlay clocks! lol Before my husband left for Iraq, I was pretty upset that he was having to go once again. The words (wait) and (waiting) kept coming to me. That's the story of my life it seems. I will spare you the journaling because it's long. I just tell my husband (hidden journaling on tag) how before we even met, I had waited for him (my soul mate) to come into my life. Today--married and 8 years later--I'm still waiting for him. It seems as though these deployments are so close together. It's hard but I want him to know that I faithfully wait here for him. I will continue to wait for him--always and forever--because he's definitely worth the wait--he's the love of my life and I could not imagine loving or being with anyone else but him.
I want to thank Kim for merging the two photos together digitally for me. It's the perfect effect I was going for. The quote on the picture reads: Contrary to what the cynics say, distance is not for the fearful-it's for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for little time with the one they love. It is for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough!
Should I add another stamped flourish to the very top right hand corner? I'm horrible when it comes to stamping and the placement!!
I apologize for the shadows on here---the clouds kept coming and going while I was trying to take a decent picture. Thanks so much for looking! Sandy
