Gramps.....a very special & inspirational man in our lives. The journaling says it all, as best as I can.

Journaling:- You are not my real father, but I love you as if were. You are always there for me through thick & thin, offering advice, joking around with your sarcastic sense of humour or just listening to me vent. We have had our angry moments, as everyone does, but we always come though it. You have been the best Gramps that my children could ever wish for, always there to read with Phebs or to answer Chloe’s tough questions about God and creation. Life has dealt you some heavy blows, and yet you face these obstacles with strength, determination and grace. I told you when I visited you at the hospital last week, that I thought you were amazing. You shook your head and told me that there were people much worse off than you were, that you had met people at the hospital who were facing cancer and brain tumours, and all that you had to worry about was being in a wheelchair. You can not see it, but this is exactly the reason why you are so amazing. With the pain that you endure on a daily basis and with a diagnosis that even the best of us would find hard to swallow, you can still count your blessings, be thankful for what you do have, and have unbelievable compassion for others. You truly are and inspiration to me. I love you xox
