This was for a challenge called "cut away." Since I normally do a lot of hand-cut detailing on my pages, I wanted to do something that was completely different for me and this is what I came up with. That's my family...Simpsonized!! I went to a site over the summer that allowed you to create Simpson characters out of your family and printed us. I hand cut everything except for the "becoming"...it's cardstock letter stickers from Scrapworks. The clouds, sun rays, two flowers, and the worm are all Scenic Route papers. The tree leaves, grass, spikey flowers and stems are from Imagination Project. And the tree trunk and yellow sun are from TLC. I made the bird, title, and journaling spot from blue DCWV cardstock then I doodled a frame and used some rub-on stitching for the lines. And...of course...I wanted to incorporate Homer's famous line in my layout somewhere so the little worm has "Doh!" above his head since there just happens to be a bird standing in front of him. This was a hoot!! (And I got the inspration from someone at scrapbook.com when I saw the amazing layout that they had made with their own Simpsonized characters...wish I could remember her name to thank her.
