This was an engagement card, my first card, that I made for my boss when I found out she got engaged. I've always called black a "classic" color so I thought it would make a "classic" card idea. The overall design idea came from a magazine but the original card... or invitation (I'm not sure which it was) was for New Year's. I did move the placement of the black ribbon and changed the placement of the text on front. Otherwise the paper and cardstock are mostly the same. Although, I think the magazine used the 8x8 Basic Grey paper... cuz I realized after I cut the size I needed that the pattern wasn't the same. A little disappointing... but I was happy with the end result. Thanks for looking.
