When I was 4 mum and dad took me on a daytrip to a local island - Fraser Island. It was the first time I remember being on a barge and the first time I was ever on a plane.

There's a lot of work in this layout - it took two days to produce. The overlay is the brochure mum kept from the tour company. I scanned it along with the photos. It was so great to be able to breathe some life back into the pictures with hue and levels adjusments.

Journalling:
"While we were vacationing at Noosa in 1980, Mum and Dad booked a day trip to Fraser Island. Early in the morning a 4WD picked us up at Mingara and we were driven to Rainbow Beach to see the Coloured Sands. Then we travelled by barge to Fraser Island. After lunch and a tour around the Island, we boarded a light plane to travel back to the mainland, on my first ever plane trip."
