in this small area of plumbing before there were no shut off tapes - if we needed to turn the water off in the bathroom - we had to turn the water off in the whole house. There was only the tap at the main water line into the house. So FIL fixed that for us. Now we can turn off the water to the whole bathroom (black handles) the tub/shower (blue handles) and then the sink and toilet both have their handles in the bathroom. :) My FIL is such a handyman, it's wonderful. It's also a whole lot cheaper on the pocketbook.
